Summer Photography Evenings

Relaxed Evenings in A Glorious Kent Garden

For my Summer Photography Evenings, I invite you to bring your camera and enjoy a couple of hours creating photos in the beautiful grounds of Belmont House. Come and enjoy the serene spaces of the Kitchen and Walled Gardens and make time to create some beautiful and fun photographs.

The emphasis of the evening will be based around floral and garden photography but they are very much relaxed and unstructured evenings so whatever type of photography you enjoy, you can participate. There will be a selection of fun props and beautiful backdrops for you to get creative with, as well as plenty of foliage for styling your photographs.

Cyanotype Printing

As an addition to the workshop there will be a chance for you have a go at the traditional photographic process of cyanotype by creating your very own botanical cyanotype print. This is a beautiful process and is very much at the foundation of the photographic documentation of plants and flowers. I will also provide a few tip sheets to offer inspiration and give you the chance to pick up some new skills if you desire! There will be tea and homemade cake on offer too!

Who are the Summer Photography Evenings suited to?

My summer photography evenings are suitable for any level of camera user, from beginners to pros. All types cameras are welcome too, even smartphones! These evenings are about making time to be creative and enjoy photographing the beautiful gardens at Belmont!

Children that are interested in photography are very welcome but must be accompanied by a guardian/adult and must be taking part in the workshop/using a camera. If you are looking to learn how to use the settings on your camera then one of my COURSES would be ideal for you.

What if it Rains?

We will have access to the beautiful Kitchen Garden Greenhouses for the evening, because as you well know, British Summer weather isn’t always what we hope it will be! There will also be shelter throughout the gardens so we won’t be stopped from being creative!

Location & Venue

Hosted in the Gardens of Belmont House in Faversham, this really is the ideal location for slowing down, being creative and getting to know your camera better!
